Candy Cane Bath Salts in a Jar

12 tall and slender jars (12 oz.)
2 4-pound cartons Epsom Salts (approx. 16 cups)
4 pounds sea salt (approx. 6 cups)
1/2 tsp. glycerin, divided
12 to 15 drops peppermind essential oil
12 to 15 drops of red food colorRecipe
You will need two very large mixing bowls. Into one bowl, empty 1 carton of Epsom salts. Add 3 cups sea salt and stir well. Stir in 1/4 tsp. glycerin and 6 to 8 drops of essential oil. Mix well.
In a second large bowl, repeat the above only add food coloring to this bowl. Mix until the color is evenly distributed.
Holding jars at an angle, layer salts in the jar, alternating colors.
