Awesome Instant Potatoes

Recipe Introduction
The first time I ate these potatoes, I would never have guessed they were INSTANT!! When I was told they were instant, I insisted on having the recipe so I could try for myself.
List of Ingredients
6 2/3 cups water
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 8 oz. cream cheese
1 8 oz. sour cream
1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing mix
4 cups Betty Crocker Potato Buds
Recipe
Heat water, butter, salt, pepper, cream cheese, sour cream and Ranch dressing to boiling in large pot.
When it begins to boil, remove from heat and stir in dry potato buds and wisk until moistened. Let stand for about 30 seconds, then whip with a hand mixer. You may need to adjust the consistency by adding more hot water or more potato buds.
IMPORTANT: It is important that you use Better Crocker Potato Buds.... other brands will not work as well.
These can be made in advance and refrigerated. To serve, simply heat and stir. YUMMY!!! Makes enough for a crowd.
