Cabbage Roll Casserole
1/2 small head of cabbage
3/4 pound ground beef
3/4 pound ground sausage
1 cup instant rice uncooked
1 cup water
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1 16 oz can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz can sauerkraut
1 onion
Brown Sausage, gr beef and onion
I season my meat mixture heavily.
Shread cabbage and place in baking dish, I use pam in mine. Place meat mixture over cabbage, I season mine again here. Put the one cup of rice over the meat, and put the sauerkraut over the rice. (I ALWAYS use more kraut as we love it) Mix together (makes it more simple) Tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and water, paour over kraut. I season mine again here. Cover and bake for one hour @ 350. I usually bake mine longer to assure the rice is done.
