Tink's Tuna Noodle Casserole
1 family size bag of egg noodles (I like muellers the best the 1 lb bag, but i cant get them anymore, so whatever you can find, but get a Large/family size bag)
2 cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cans of peas (drained)
4 small cans of tuna in water (drained)
2 cups (or more) of shredded cheddar
salt & pepper to taste
Cook noodles according to package directions....drain tuna and peas add to a bowl with the condensed soup add your salt and pepper, mix this well before you add the noodles. When noodles are done drain and add to soup mixture. Mix well again. Pour inot a buttered 9x13 in pan and bake @ 350º for about 20-25 minutes. Pull out oven rack and cover the casserole with cheese. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted well. I double bake mine like this because if you put the cheese on when you first put it in the oven it gets brown, and i dont like browned cheese yucky! That is is...super simple and delish each time!
I have a friend in Jersey and EVERY time she comes for a visit ....I HAVE to make this and my hot ans sour soup! LOL....
