    Recipe For Raising Children

    Source of Recipe

    Church Cook Book

    Recipe Introduction

Rose Colbey found this recipe for raising children in her mother's things a long time ago. It was dated June 10, 1928. She submitted this recipe to the church cookbook in her memory.

    List of Ingredients

    • Be nice to little kids. No sassing. Listen and Learn.
    • Learn to keep yourself and your surroundings as clean as possible.
    • Respect all people, especially older folks. They have been through all this, they have been around quite a while, so listen to them. Take advantage of their experiences. Add this to your own know how, what knowledge you will have for just listening.
    • Accept responsibility, it helps you grow.
    • Do not be Lazy...move! This is good exercise and you will get your chores done. Believe me, you will like the results and so will I.
    • The world owes you nothing, make it your own, be thankful you are able to.
    • Be courteous, also be gracious when someone offers you a helping hand, a little tip or suggestion. It just might be whothwhile.
    • Never become self-centered!!! That is an ugly habit.
    • Always say a please and thank you to your God as well as to all mankind.

    Instructions

    1. Mix this all together, stir well every day of your life and you, my children, will be happy and very nice to have around.
    2. God bless you and I love you.
      Love,
      Mother
