    1 cup butter
    2-1/4 cup flour, divided
    1-1/4 cup sugar, divided
    6 eggs, separated
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    5 cups rhubarb cut in 1/4 inch pieces
    2 teaspoons vanilla

    Recipe



    Cream butter. add 2 cup flour and 2 tablespoons sugar, mix till smooth. Pat dough into 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Beat egg yolks with wire whisk. Add 2 cup sugar, 4 tablespoon flour and salt. Combine thoroughly with wire whisk. Stir in rhubarb and pour over baked crust and bake 350 for 45 minutes.
    Beat egg whites till soft peaks form. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and beat stiff, add vanilla and spread over dessert. Seal to edges and bake 350 for 10 minutes.
