Gorgonzola Potato Gratin

1 T melted butter
1 T cold butter
2 cloves minced garlic
2 T chopped fresh basil
1 t chopped fresh thyme
1 cup crumbled Gorgonzola
3 lb. baking potatoes, sliced
1 1/2 cups half and half
2 T chopped fresh parsley
Recipe
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Brush 10 inch baking dish with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, stir together garlic, basil, thyme, salt and Gorgonzola.
- Layer 1/3 of the potatoes in the bottom of a dish.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of cheese mixture on top.
- Repeat layers once and then top with remaining potatoes.
- Pour half and half evenly over the potatoes and sprinkle with remaining cheese mixture.
- Dot with butter pieces.
- Butter foil and place over dish.
- Bake 30 minutes and remove foil.
- Bake additional 30-40 minutes.
