Cloud Bisquits
*** You may want to add 1/4 cup of grated parmesaan cheese into the dough, it tastes wonderful!
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 cups self-rising flour*
if you don't have this you can make it using
2 1/4 cups regular flour and add 1 1/4 tsp salt + 3 1/4 tsp baking POWDER (not baking soda)
1 TBS sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1 TBS butter,
Recipe
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl, stir well. Using a pastry blender cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Combine egg and milk, add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead 3-4 times.
Roll dough out to 1/2" thickness, cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven brush biscuits with melted butter.
