Momma's Viennese Browned Rice
List of Ingredients
2/3 C margarine
1`1/2 C rice
1 large onion, chopped
3 1/2 C boiling water with 3 beef bullion cubes dissolved in it
Recipe
Keep water simmering in a saucepan so that it stays hot. Melt butter in skillet. Add onion and rice and cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until rice is browned and onion is soft. Add 1/2 C water to rice and cook on medium until water is absorbed. Continue adding water 1/2 C at a time until all is used and rice is tender.
