    During my visits in Baltimore and Ellicot City Maryland, a taste of haven will never be forgotten! Very Tasty and Very Easy to prepare! Try it yourself so you know what I'm talking about..

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup salt
    1/2 cup seafood seasoning
    3 cups white vinegar
    3 cups beer or water
    3 dozen live, Maryland blue hardshell crabs

    Recipe



    Mix the seasoning, beer or water and vinegar well. Put half of the crabs in a large pot with a rack and a tight-fitting lid. *Pour half the seasoning mixture over the top. Add the rest of the crabs and remaining liquid. Steam, covered, until the crabs turn red. About 20 or 30 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Serve immediately if they are to be eaten hot; bring to room temperature and refrigerate until ready to serve, for a cold mea. Serves 9 to 12, depending on the size of the crabs.

    Note : Do not Store live crabs with a cooked crabs.
    *if two pots are used, layer the crabs and divide the seasoning mixture accordingly.
