GREEN RICE CASSEROLE

List of Ingredients
- 2 Cups uncooked instant rice
- 1 Pint (16 oz) sour cream
- 1 Can Cream of Celery Soup
- 2 Cans green chilies (undrained)
- 2 Cups shredded cheese (casserole blend)
Instructions
- Cook rice according to package
- In a large bowl mix together sour cream, soup and green chilies
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Add cooked rice and mix well
- In a 9 X 13 pan, put a layer of rice, then a layer of cheese
- Alternate and end with cheese
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
Final Comments
Original recipe calls for 1 Cup shredded mild cheddar and 1 Cup shredded American cheese. Carol uses the casserole blend with the same results.
