    Source of Recipe

    home skillets

    Recipe Introduction

These freeze verrrrrrrrry well, and I always double the batch

    List of Ingredients

    3 sticks softened butter

    3/4 c powdered sugar

    1 T vanilla extract

    1/2 t salt

3 c flour (I've made these both with white and/or whole wheat)

    2 c (1 pkg mini chocolate chips)

1/2 c finely chopped nuts (optional...I've never added them)

    powdered sugar

    Recipe

Beat butter, 3/4 c powdered sugar, vanilla, & salt in large mixer bowl til creamy. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in mini chips & nuts. Shape level tablespoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes (I usually have to do about 14-15 min) or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Let stand 10 min & remove to wire racks to cool. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar to look like snow on the snowballs. Makes about 4-5 dozen cookies.
