    Sweet and Zesty Mini Meatball

    Sweet and Zesty Mini Meatballs
    Brudnicki. (Makes approximately 60 mini meatballs).

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
    1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tsp chili paste
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/2 tsp sugar
    1/4 tsp garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp vegetable oil
    2 cups honey-barbeque sauce

    In a large bowl combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, green onions, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sugar until well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on rimmed baking sheets, uncovered, in a 500 degree Fahrenheit oven for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Meanwhile, sauté garlic with the vegetable oil in a saucepan for 1 minute. Add the honey-barbeque sauce and bring to a boil. Once it reaches the boil, turn heat down and simmer. When the meatballs are finished, add them to the barbeque sauce and stir. Turn off heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Put on a platter and serve.
