    Pumpkin Bread

    (makes 3 loaves)

    (dry ingredients for 1st step)
    3 cups sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon clove
    1 teaspoon allspice
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder, level
    2 teaspoons baking soda, level


    1 cup vegetable oil
    4 eggs

    3 1/2 cups flour
    2/3 cup water

    1 can pumpkin (2 cups)


    preheat oven to 350. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl witha spoon.
    Add vegetable oil and mix. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time.
    Add flour and water, alternating. Mix in Pumpkin.

    Grease 3 large (or 4 small) bread pans with oil or margarine. Fill each 1/3 to 1/2
    full. Bake until center springs back when touched, about 50 minutes.
    Cool on rack about 10 minutes and then remove from pans by gently placing knife down sides of pan. When cool,
    wrap and either freeze or regrigerate.

    Also makes nice muffins, baked about 25 minutes
