Dried Blueberry Cherry Scones

DRIED BLUEBERRY ORANGE SCONES
1/2 Cup Graceland dried Blueberries
1/2 Cup Boiling Water
2 Cups Flour
2 tsps. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Butter, chilled
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Buttermilk
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
1 tsp. Orange Peel
1 Egg White, slightly beaten
1 Tbl. Sugar
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In small bowl pour the boiling water over the Graceland dried blueberries; let stand 5 minutes. Drain. In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt and 1/4 cup sugar. Using a pastry blender or two knives, work in the butter until it resembles coarse meal. Mix together the egg, buttermilk and orange juice. Add to the flour mixture with the orange peel and the Graceland dried blueberries, stirring just until moistened. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, about two minutes. Roll out the dough until it is 1/4 inch thick. Cut out the scones using a 3" round cookie cutter. Place them on a greased baking sheet. Brush with the egg white and sprinkle with the 1 tablespoon sugar. Bake in the center of the oven until lightly golden, 12-15 minutes. Serve warm with butter and honey.
