HERMAN COFFEECAKE
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup Herman starter
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Topping -


Topping - In small bowl mix 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon each flour, cinnamon, and granulated sugar. Cut in 2 tablespoon butter or margarine at room temperature till crumbly.

HERMAN COFFEECAKE


In large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Add starter, oil, egg, raisins and nuts. Stir to mix well. Spread in treased and floured 8-9 inch pan. Sprinkle with topping Bake in preheated 350 degreee oven 30-35 minutes till brown and pick inserted comes out clean. Cool slightly in pan on rack. Cut in squares. Best served warm. 9 servings
