    ALL CHOCOLATE
    BOSTON CREAM PIE.
    *****************
    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    6 tbl. butter
    1 cup milk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 9 inch round baking pan.
    In large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda. Add butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. With electric mixer at low speed, blend until all ingredients are moistened. Increase to medium speed, beat 2 miinutes. Pour batter into prepared pan, bake 30-35 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes, remove from pan and let cool completely.

    Meanwhile prepare filling.

    With a long serrated knife, slice cake horizontally into 2 thin layers. Spread filling onto one cake layer; top with remaining layer.
    Prepare glaze. Pour glaze onto top of cake, allowing some to drizzle down sides.

    FILLING:
    1-1/2 cups light cream
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tabls. cornstarch
    1 tabls. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla

    In medium sized saucepan, stir together cream, sugar, cocoa, and cornstarch. Place over medium heat and cook 3-5 minutes, until mixture thickens and begins to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, and vanilla until blended. Cover, and cool completely.

    GLAZE:
    2 tabls. water
    1 tabls. butter
    1 tabls. corn syrup
    2 tabls. unsweetened cocoa powder
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla

    In small saucepan over high heat, bring water, butter, and corn syrup
    to a boil.Remove from heat and stir in cocoa. With wire whisk, beat in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Cool slightly.
