    Festive Eggnog Cake

    FESTIVE EGGNOG CAKE

    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 T. baking powder
    1/4 t. nutmeg
    3 eggs
    1 t. vanilla extract
    1 c. eggnog
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    Eggnog Frosting
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 t. salt
    1 c. eggnog
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 t. vanilla



    Recipe



    FESTIVE EGGNOG CAKE

    Grease and flour bottoms of 2 8" pans. Square or round No difference. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Blend well at low speed of electric mixer. Then beat 1 minute at low speed. Pour in pans. Bake at 350 for 25 - 30 min. or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Cool; fill and frost.

    Combine flour, salt, and eggnog in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until very thick. Cool. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar; cream well. Add flour mixture; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla.
