BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE

Serves 10


1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
4 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salad dressing base
2 teaspoons lemon extract
2 teaspoons butter flavoring



Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs
Sift flour and salt together
Add soda to buttermilk and add to shortening mixture alternately with dry ingredients.

Add flavorings and bake in a tube pan at 325 for 1 hour.
