LEMON GLAZED POUNDCAKE.

2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
a tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable shortening
6 eggs
1/2 tsp lemon extract
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and flour mixture, add lemon extract and beat. Pour into a tube pan Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
Glaze
Juice of 1 lemon
2 cups powdered sugar
Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar
Beat until smooth Pour over cake.
