MOONSHINE COOKIES

1/2 pound crystallized cherries, chopped
1/2 pound crystallized pineapple, chopped
1/2 pound white raisins
1/4 pound crystallized orange peel
1/4 pound crystallized citron
1 cup good whiskey

Let fruits soak in whiskey overnight.
Now Add:
1 pound nuts
3 cups flour
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar

2/3 cup melted butter
3 eggs, beaten

Dissolve and add to the above mixture 1 tsp soda in 1 tbsp buttermilk. Add vanilla to taste and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookies sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven 12-15 minutes
