    Orange Slice Cookies

    List of Ingredients



    1-1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 eggs
    2 cup flour (use 1/2 cup to mix with orange slices)
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 cup coconut
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    1/2 cup oats
    1 lb. orange slices (cut into pieces and tossed with flour)




    Recipe


    Cream sugar & shortening until lightly & fluffy
    Beat in eggs
    Sift flour, soda, baking powder & blend into creamed mixture
    Fold in candy coconuts, nuts, & oats, mixing well
    Roll into balls about 1" in diameter
    Place on greased cookie sheet & press down with times of dinner fork
    Bake 325 12 min. or until lightly brown
