Strawberry Mold
1 pack, 2-3oz, strawberry gelatin
1 bag frozen strawberries, sliced
3 bananas, mashed
1 cup pineapple, canned
1 cup pecans, chopped
3/4 cup sour cream
1 sliced strawberry, for garnish
4 slices of pineapple, for garnish
1 cup water
Recipe
Strawberry Mold
Boil water in a teapot, then transfer to a heatproof bowl. Add the gelatin and stir until dissolved. Add strawberries, bananas, pineapple, and nuts to the bowl. Pour half the mixture into a lightly greased Jell-O mold. Refrigerate until set. Removed from the refrigerator and add a layer of sour cream and the remaining mixture. Refrigerator until set. To serve, place a decorative leaf of lettuce on the plate. Add a slice of the strawberry mold and garnish with fresh strawberry and pineapple slices.
