SASSY SYRUP

3/4 Cup Maple syrup
1/2 Cup Firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
Juice of 2 orange plus 2 teaspoon zest
Juice of 1/2 Lemon plus 1/2 teaspoon zest
1 Tbl. Butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 Cup dried tart cherries



Recipe

SASSY SYRUP
In a medium saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, orange juice and zest, lemon juice and zest, butter and cinnamon; mix well. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to simmer; cook 10 minutes. Add cherries; cook 1 minute. Serve with pancakes, waffles or French Toast.
YIELD: 1 1/2 CUPS
