    Spiced Fruit Cup
    Servings: Yield: 100 Portions
    Portions: 1/2 cup servings



    INGREDIENTS

    1 1/2 gal (2-No. 10 cn) Fruit cocktail, canned
    2 1/2 qt (approx) Juice, reserved
    1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    2 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    2 cups Sugar, brown
    4 1/2 qt Apples(4 lbs), fresh, eating, unpared, diced
    2 1/4 qt Oranges(5 lb), fresh, 3/4-inch pieces

    Spiced Fruit Cup



    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Drain fruit cocktail; set aside for use in Step 4. Reserve juice for use in Step 2.
    2. Combine juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
    3. Simmer 5 minutes. Cover syrup; place in refrigerator to chill for use in step 5.
    4. Combine fruit cocktail, apples, and oranges.
    5. Pour syrup over fruits; mix lightly.
    6. Cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.
