    Salmon Cheese Puff Pies

    15 1/2 oz can salmon *
    1 c cottage cheese
    1/4 c chopped bell pepper
    1/4 c chopped onion
    3 T lemon juice
    1/4 t dill weed
    10 oz pk frozen puff pastry shells **

    * Drained and flaked.
    ** Thawed in refrigerator overnight.


    Preheat oven to 450 F.
    In large bowl, combine all ingredients except patty shells.
    On floured surface, roll each shell to an 8-inch circle.

    Place equal amounts of salmon mixture in center of each circle.
    Fold over; seal edges with water and press with fork.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet; cut slit near center of each
    turnover.
    Reduce oven temperature to 400 F; bake 25 minutes or until golden
    brown.


    Drain and flake salmon. Set aside. Saute onions and green peppers in 2 tablespoons margarine for 5 - 10 minutes, or until tender. Stir in flaked salmon, 1 cup cracker crumbs, milk, corn, eggs, cheese and pepper. Turn into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Melt remaining margarine; toss with remaining cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
