    Strawberry Jello and Pretzel Salad


    Strawberry Jello and Pretzel Salad

    2 c unsalted pretzels, crushed
    2 tbsp sugar
    1/2 c butter, melted
    1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, room temp
    1 c sugar
    2 envelopes Dream Whip (prepare as directed on package)
    6 oz pkg strawberry jello
    2 packages (or 1 large pkg) frozen strawberries
    2 c hot water




    Preheat to 350.
    Mix crushed pretzels, 2 tbsp sugar and melted butter; Press in 9 x 13 pan and bake 10 min. cool completely.

    Mix 1 c sugar with cream cheese;
    Prepare dream whip as directed on package.
    Combine cream cheese and dream whipe.
    Spread mixture on cooled crust. Chill.
    Dissolve jello completely in hot water.
    Add frozen strawberries and stir till thawed.
    Chill until mixture starts to thicken, then carefully spread on top of cream cheese layer and chill
