Flower Pot Cakes
3 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 stp salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/3 cup Imperial margarine
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract 5
1/4 cup hot water
5 small clean terra cotta pots
1 can prepared chocolate frosting
3 cups crushed chocolate cookies
5 flowers with long, sturdy stems

Flower Pot Cakes
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C). In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Add margarine and sour cream and beat well. Stir in melted chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition. Add vanilla and water and beat until batter is smooth.
Line terra cotta pots with aluminum foil. Fill pots three-quarters full with batter. Bake 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Let cakes cool completely.
Ice flower pot cakes with chocolate frosting. Sprinkle iced cakes with crushed cookies. Wrap the bottoms of the flowers in aluminum foil and insert one into each of the flower pot cakes.
