Mexican Lasagna
I use a 9x13 pan. Preheat oven to 375
Beef sauce:
In a large skillet thoroughly cook 2 pounds of ground beef, and drain out all fat and grease. Add 1 small jar of hot or mild salsa, 1 package of taco mix, 2 small ( 8 ounce ) cans of tomato sauce, 2 cans of kidney beans, and one can of spicy chili beans. (Add hot sauce if you can take it.) Simmer about 15 minutes.
TIP: Since burrito shells are usually round, cut them in half, and lay the flat side towards the edges of the pan for layering. Use SOFT flour or corn tortillas (uncooked) and begin layering with sauce on the bottom, then tortilla then a layer of refried beans. You can add olives, onions, whatever else sounds good, and then a layer of sharp cheddar cheese shreds. Do it again, sauce, refried beans, anything extra, and cheese. I usually get three good tortilla layers, and top the whole thing off with cheese, then crunch up Fritos and put them on top of the cheese.

Bake for 30-45 minutes or so, and serve with sour cream, taco sauce, hot sauce, salsa, and Doritos, Fritos, or taco chips. This makes an excellent pot luck dish also.
Let cool for about 15 minutes before serving!
