List of Ingredients
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 oz. yellow cheddar cheese cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup sour cream
3 tablspoons butter, melted
1 egg, ligh tly beaten
1 tablspoon garlic powderRecipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper together in a bowl. Stir in cheese cubes into flour mixture until coated. Whisk milk, sour cream, melted butter and the egg in a separate bowl. Stir moist ingredients into flour and cheese mixture until just combined. Spread batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in the oven until the top of the loaf is golden and a toothpick comes out clean. 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before cooling on wire rack. Let cool 1 hour before serving. Makes 6 servings
