    These are my father's favorite cookies.

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup flour
    1 cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 - 3 teaspoons sugar
    1 egg unbeaten
    powdered sugar
    oil for frying

    Recipe



    Mix together into a smooth batter all ingredients. Heat iron form in very hot oil for a couple of minutes. Dip iron into batter and then into oil. First few will stick but as the iron gets hotter they should fall off into the oil, scoop up and drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Makes a very big batch
