    I make two of these for his hunting lodge

    List of Ingredients




    1 frozen deep dish 9 inch pie shell which includes 2 shells already in a tin defrosted
    1 pkg of Pillsbury pie shells that include 2 shells, room temp
    1 pkg of deer hamburger
    sprinkle of garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, oregano, basil and red pepper, salt and pepper
    1 can of tomato sauce
    splash of red wine
    Mozzarella cheese

    Recipe



    Cook meat in skillet broken up till browned. Drain. Add tomato sauce and seasonings. Cook till reduced and most of the liquid is gone.
    Cool mixture, then add to the pie shells in the tin, sprinkle mozzarella on top and then lay Pillsbury pie shell on top, crimp edges and make a X on top to let out steam. Do not cook in the oven. Cover bottom with foil and then put a smaller piece of foil sprayed with pam on the top of the pie. Wrap all in foil, put in a bag and put in freezer.
