Mom's famous chicken
Recipe Introduction
This is a dish my mom made all the time for company. and I do too.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. Bacon
chicken pieces or cutlets cut up
small white onions from a jar
mushrooms fresh or canned
garlic
cream of mushroom soup
white wine
salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
celery tops
1 bay leafRecipe
Brown bacon until crisp. Take out of pan set aside. Brown the chicken in the bacon fat. Put chicken in a casserole dish 9 x 13. Lightly brown small white onions and mushrooms and 1 clove of garlic in bacon fat. Mix together cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup white wine. Pour this over the chicken, season with salt, pepper, thyme, parsley, celery tops, bay leaf and the top with the bacon
Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours
