    mixes up in minutes -- delicious on toast , bagels and healthy breads

    1 cup maple syrup
    3/4 cup (one and 1/2 stick) butter

    cook the syrup in a small saucepan over low heat, withou tstirring until it reaches a soft all stage
    (234 degrees Fahrenheit on a candy thermometer).
    stir in butter. pourr mixture into a deed bowl and beat with an electric mixer until thick in creamy
    about four minutes. Makes approximately one and 3/4 cups of spread.
