    A Frozen Moose

    Recipe Introduction


    We needed a quick, cool, summer dessert for some unexpected visitors. After Throwing this recipe together, we did not really know what to call it, but researching a number of cookbooks showed that it was really a mousse.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 C. Chopped pineapple, berries, or citrus fruits.
    • 2 T. Granulated white sugar.
    • 1/2 C. Canned evaporated milk


    Instructions


    1. Combine the milk and fruit in a milkshake can or similar container.

    2. Use an electric hand-whisk to puree the mixture until it is very smooth.

    3. Add the sugar in small increments and blending until the desired sweetness is achieved.

    4. Pour 2/3 cup of the mixture in each of four serving dishes and place in the freezer.

    5. Chill until thick but not frozen, decorate with a piece of the original fruit, and serve.

    6. If you wish, two or more fruits with complimenting flavors can be combined.

    7. If you want to use bananas, do not use more than 1/4 cup of mashed bananas for every two cups of other fruit
