Raspberry Meringue Pie

Recipe Introduction
My friend, Tammy, substituted strawberries and said that it turned out and tasted wonderful.
List of Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons cold butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh raspberries
Instructions
- Combine the flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Cut in the butter until crumbly.
- Combine the egg and milk.
- Stir egg mixture into flour mixture.Dough will be sticky.
- Press into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9" pie pan.
- Beat egg whites with a blender on medium speed until soft peaks form.
- Gradually beat in the 1/2 cup sugar, 1 Tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the raspberries.
- Spoon over the crust.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until browned.
- Cool on a wire rack ad store in the refrigerator.
