MAIN: Garlic-Pepper Steaks

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 (1-lb.) beef T-bone steaks (1 inch thick)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
Recipe
1. Heat grill. In small bowl, combine oil and garlic; mix well. Brush steaks with oil mixture. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of each steak.
2. When ready to grill, place steaks on gas grill over medium-high heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium-high coals. Cook 12 to 18 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once or twice.
Note:
To broil steaks, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once.
