1 Italian or French bread
1 pkg (250 g) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup maple syrup
Recipe
CUT bread into 8 - 10 thick slices.
BEAT cream cheese with an electric hand mixer until smooth. Add eggs, milk and maple syrup.
DIP bread slices in mixture and place in large casserole dish. Pour remaining liquid over bread. Let stand 1 hour or overnight.
PLACE 4 - 5 slices soaked bread on greased baking sheet and bake at 425°F for 20 minutes, turning once, or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining slices. Serve immediately with maple syrup and fresh fruit.
