    Walnut Pear Cinnamon Coffee Cake

    Yield: Makes 1 - 9" coffee cake (8 servings)

    BATTER:
    1 cup DANNON® Natural Flavors Vanilla yogurt
    1 3/4 cups flour
    3/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    1 medium ripe pear, peeled, cored & sliced
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    CRUMB MIXTURE:
    1 cup broken walnuts
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 cup butter
    1/3 cup flour

    Mix all topping ingredients together and set aside.

    CINNAMON GLAZE:
    2 tablespoons DANNON Natural Flavors Vanilla yogurt
    1 cup confectioners' sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Whisk together confectioners' sugar, yogurt and cinnamon; Drizzle over cake before serving.

    Directions
    1. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together; set aside. Toss pears in cinnamon; set aside.

    2. Beat butter with an electric mixer. Add sugar and vanilla extract; add eggs one at a time. Add yogurt and flour mixture alternately. Spread 2/3 in the bottom of a lightly greased 9" springform pan. Sprinkle half of the crumb mixture over the batter. Layer pears over the topping. Gently spread the rest of the batter over the pears and top with remaining crumb mixture.

    3. Bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool slightly if serving warm, or cool completely before drizzling with cinnamon glaze.
