    1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
    1 8-oz. package cream cheese, room temperature
    1 egg
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 18.25-oz. box butter recipe cake mix (I use DH)
    sifted confectioners' sugar in small dish

    Recipe



    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Add cake mix and mix just until well blended. Using a cookie scoop that makes an approximate 1-inch dia. ball, drop in dish of confectioners' sugar. Roll around to cover and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 deg. for 10-13 minutes (depends on size but be careful not to overbake). Check often from shortest time - they should not even have a light brown color to them.
