    1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Bread Dough, White or Honey Wheat, thawed
    1/4 cup poppy seeds
    1/4 cup honey
    1/3 cup slivered almonds, chopped
    2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    1 well beaten egg
    2 tablespoons water

    Almond Cheese Spread
    4 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 teaspoon almond extract
    2 tablespoons honey
    1 tablespoon grated lemon rind

    On a lightly floured board, roll dough out to a 12-inch square. Mix poppy seeds, honey, almonds, lemon rind and almond extract together. Spread mixture evenly over dough. Roll dough tightly in jelly-roll fashion; pinch along edge to seal. Using a sharp knife, slice roll in half lengthwise. Keeping the cut sides up, gently twist the two strips together. Place twist on a lightly greased cookie sheet and join ends to form a wreath. Brush lightly with egg-water mixture. Sprinkle any loose nut mixture over wreath. Allow to rise in warm place until doubled in size. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes or until golden brown on all sides. Remove from pan immediately, cool on wire rack before serving. Serve with Almond Cheese Spread if desired.

    Blend all ingredients together. Use as a spread with Almond Poppy Seed Wreath.
