    1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Bread Dough, thawed
    1/2 cup finely chopped apples (peeled and cored)
    1/4 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    1/4 cup melted butter or margarine

    Vanilla Icing: mix together 1-cup powdered sugar, 1-2 tablespoons milk or water and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

    Lightly grease baking sheet(s); set aside. Let dough thaw completely. Mix chopped apples with nuts, sugar and spice; set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll out thawed dough to a 12-inch circle. Cut circle into 8 equal triangles. Brush each triangle with melted butter. Place 1 to 1&1/2 tablespoons of filling in the center of the base of each triangle. Beginning with the widest edge (where the filling is), roll dough, pulling towards you slightly as you go. Place point sides down on greased baking sheet(s) and shape into crescent shape. Brush crescents with melted butter. Let rise until double in size. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and pan to cool on wire rack. Brush with melted butter and drizzle with icing if desired and serve.
