TOASTED BAGUETTE THINS
List of Ingredients
1 crusty French baguette
1 1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 clove garlic, pressed
pinch salt
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the oil with the salt, basil and garlic and set aside for about a half hour. Using a very sharp serrated knife thinly slice (1/8" to 1/4") the baguette into wafers (the oil should be enough for about 30 wafers.) Lightly brush the wafers on each side with the flavored oil and lay out on a large baking sheet. Place in oven and allow to toast until crisp. About ten minutes turning the wafers halfway through. Set aside to cool.
