Liver Pate'
This is tasty Spread over Melba toast, crackers..or bagel chips
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. chicken livers
- 1/2 C butter
- 2 small onions
- 4 hard -boiled eggs
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brandy
- Garnish chopped Parsley
Instructions
- Rinse chicken,cut in half and pat dry
- Saute' in 1/4 c butter until just cooked and still pink inside
- Remove from pan & cool.
- Use food processor with blade add onions , pulse on and off till coarsely chopped,add remaining butter
- pour pan with brandy and juices and onion, liver
- Return mixture to work bowl and process off and on until coarsely chopped
- Add salt/pepper,curry powder and thyme,
- cut eggs into mixture,
pulse until blended,
- Blend smooth add cream and Brandy..
chill and garnish with parsley.
