    Italian Sausage with Peppers


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 large red bell peppers,cut into chunks
    • 1 large onion,slice into rings
    • 2 tbs. olive oil
    • 1 or 2 cloves grlic,minced
    • 3/4 tsp. whole thyme leaves
    • 6 links Italian sausage,about 1 1/2#
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 cup dry white wine


    Instructions





    1. Cook peppers 10 minutes in the olive oil.Add onion, garlic, and thyme.Cook until soft,about 15 minutes.Prick sausage.Place in another pan with the water and cook tightly covered on high for 10 to 12 minutes.Remove lid and cook on medium 10 to 18 minutes until browned and cooked through.Remove from pan.Add wine to pan and bring up to a boil scraping the bottom of the pan.Let reduce slightly.
      Add the vegatables and sausages back to the pan and cook 2 or 3 miutes more.
