    Yeast: Cresent Dinner Rolls

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 package or 1 tablespoon yeast
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 4 cups flour
    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup sugar


    Instructions


    1. Dissolve yeast in 3 tablespoons warm water. Place shortening and salt in 1 cup boiling water. Let cool until luke warm. Beat eggs and add sugar. Add lukewarm mixture and yeast. Stir in 2 cups flour. Mix well and add enough flour so it has good texture. Place in bowl, cover and refrigerate overnight.

    2. Cut dough in 1/2. Roll dough out into 2 rounds 1/4" thick; spread with butter. You can melt it or use softened butter, cut round into pie shaped wedges. Roll into cresents. Let rise 3 or 4 hours. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.
