    • 5 slices of white bread, cubed
    • 1/2 pound grated cheese
    • 1/2 pound cooked ham, sausage, bacon or little smokies, crumbled or cubed
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon sage
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/4 cup melted butter


    Instructions


    1. Put bread slices in bottom of a buttered 13x9" oblong pan, sprinkle with cheese and add meat.
    2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs; add milk and spices to eggs. Pour egg mixture over meat and bread. Drizzle melted butter over all. Refrigerate overnight or longer.
    3. When ready to bake, cover loosely with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until eggs are set.
    4. Note: Feel free to leave out the dry mustard and put in more than 1/2 pound meat.
