    French Toast: French Toast Sticks

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 8 slices white bread, cut into 4 strips each
    • 3 tablespoons butter, divided


    Instructions


    1. In a shallow dish, beat together eggs, confectioners' sugar, milk, maple syrup and cinnamon with a fork until well blended.

    2. Dip each bread strip into the egg mixture, coating completely.

    3. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

    4. Cook the strips a few at a time for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown, adding more butter as needed.

    5. Serve immediately or allow to cool, then flash freeze on a cookie sheet and store in a freezer bag.

    6. When ready to serve, reheat in oven or toaster oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until heated through.
