    Doughnuts: Light Doughnuts

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 egg
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
    • Cinnamon Sugar


    Instructions


    1. Sift baking powder, nutmeg, salt and flour together.

    2. Beat egg and egg yolks in a bowl. Add milk, sugar and butter; mix well. Add sifted ingredients; stir until combined.

    3. Knead lightly on a floured surface; roll out 1/4" thick. Cut with doughnut cutter.

    4. Fry in deep fat at 370 degrees, until brown, turning once; do not pierce with fork.

    5. Roll in cinnamon sugar while warm.
