Gravy: Sausage Gravy II

- 1/2 pound pork sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/3 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until it crumbles. Remove sausage while reserving 1 tablespoon of the drippings in the skillet.
- Now, shake 1/4 cup all-purpose flour into the hot drippings, scraping and stirring constantly for about 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in 2 1/3 cups milk. Continue to cook for 4 to 7 minutes or until it thickens.
- Add sausage back to the gravy and stir in salt and pepper.
- Serve over buttermilk biscuits.
