    Gravy: Sausage Gravy II

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound pork sausage
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 1/3 cups milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon pepper


    Instructions


    1. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until it crumbles. Remove sausage while reserving 1 tablespoon of the drippings in the skillet.

    2. Now, shake 1/4 cup all-purpose flour into the hot drippings, scraping and stirring constantly for about 1 minute.

    3. Gradually stir in 2 1/3 cups milk. Continue to cook for 4 to 7 minutes or until it thickens.

    4. Add sausage back to the gravy and stir in salt and pepper.

    5. Serve over buttermilk biscuits.
